More importantly,China currently has over 3GW of CSP projects under construction and a planned capacity of nearly 5GW.By 2025,China will witness a new wave of CSP plant grid connections,with annual installed capacity expected to multiply.It is projected that by 2026,China’s total installed CSP capacity will surpass that of Spain,making it the world’s largest CSP market.
After years of development,China’s CSP industry has risen to global prominence in policy frameworks,technology,market dynamics,and supply chain development.China has now become the most vibrant and mature CSP market worldwide.
The Chinese government is vigorously advancing the CSP industry,exploring innovative models such as hybrid CSP-wind-PV systems to ensure stable green power supply.The Energy Law of the People’s Republic of China,which came into effect on January 1,2025,clearly states that”CSP generation should be actively developed”,confirming the important position of CSP generation in the energy system from a legal perspective.
