The steam pipeline purging work of the 100MW CSP project in Golmud of the Three Gorges has been successfully completed

Recently, the 100-MW solar thermal EPC general contracting project of Golmud by China Three Gorges New Energy Co., Ltd., in which Shouhang High-Tech Energy Technology Co., Ltd. acts as a consortium member, has made key progress. The purging work of the main steam and reheat steam pipelines has been successfully completed. The achievement of this milestone marks that the project has fully entered the sprint stage of the overall unit startup and grid-connected power generation, adding new impetus to the construction of clean energy bases in the high-altitude areas of Northwest China.

At this important juncture, Shouhang High-Tech mainly undertakes the work of salt melting and molten salt heating in the heat storage and exchange island, providing a heat source guarantee for the steam blowing of the pipes. The heat storage and exchange island is designed to be open-air, and the project is located in the plateau area of Northwest China. To ensure the smooth completion of the heat supply and thermal insulation work of the heat storage and exchange island, Shouhang High-Tech has fully cooperated with all units of the project consortium. All specialties and departments have closely collaborated, implementing a 24-hour project leadership duty system, conducting full-process monitoring of the molten salt system and the steam system, and promoting the orderly progress of the work, making full guarantee for the successful completion of the steam blowing work of the pipes.

This project is under the EPC general contracting of the consortium composed of Shouhang High-Tech Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. of China Power Engineering Consulting Group, Sichuan Engineering Co., Ltd. of Power Construction Corporation of China, and Shanghai Survey, Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd.

The installed capacity of this project is 100 MW. The solar thermal part adopts tower-type concentrating power generation technology and is equipped with an 8-hour molten salt thermal storage system. The annual utilization hours are approximately 2,271 hours. This is helpful for meeting the increasing demand of the power consumption load of the Qinghai power grid, improving the reliability of power supply of the power grid, and enhancing the stability of the regional power grid.
