Tangshan Haitai’s 100MW tower-type solar thermal project is fully striving for the goal of smooth commissioning and power generation

The 100MW solar thermal project of Tangshan Haitai’s integrated solar thermal + photovoltaic project is located in Turpan. The extreme climate here has brought great challenges to the construction. Currently, the project has completed multiple major milestones, including the energization of the station service power, chemical water production, the positioning of the generator stator, the covering of the steam turbine cylinder, the installation of the absorber body, the oil circulation, the construction of the four major pipelines, and the commissioning of the administrative office building in the pre-factory area. It is now fully sprinting towards the goal of smooth commissioning and power generation.

During the construction process, the project has innovated in management and achieved many outstanding results. Once completed, it will create a “new business card” for clean energy in the company’s solar thermal sector, effectively promoting the optimization of the local energy structure and helping to achieve green and sustainable development.

According to previous reports, the 100MW solar thermal project of Tangshan Haitai New Energy Technology Co., Ltd.’s integrated solar thermal + photovoltaic project is located in Qiquanhu Town, north of Gaochang District, Turpan City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is one of the four integrated solar thermal + photovoltaic projects of the second batch of market-oriented grid-connected new energy projects (Turpan City projects) in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in 2022, and is under the general contracting of Northwest Electric Power Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. of China Energy Engineering Group.

The project adopts the form of integrated solar thermal + photovoltaic, with a solar thermal capacity of 100MW and a photovoltaic capacity of 900MW. This 100MW solar thermal power generation project uses a tower-type concentrating solar thermal collection system. The area of the heliostat field is 524,790 square meters, the heat storage duration is 12 hours, the center elevation of the absorber is 190 meters, and the rated output power is 314MWt. The building and installation project of the 100MW solar thermal project was won by Northwest Electric Power Construction No. 3 Engineering Co., Ltd.
