British VFB maker Invinity seals first order for new product line

UK-based vanadium flow battery (VFB) specialist Invinity Energy Systems plc (AIM:IES) has agreed the first sale from its latest product line, Endurium Enterprise, which was launched earlier this year and is specifically designed for commercial and industrial (C&I) businesses.

The deal will see the delivery of a 3.5-MWh Endurium Enterprise system to French aquaculture company Charles Murgat to be collocated at an existing on-site solar array as a behind-the-meter facility. It should boost the use of self-generated solar power, improve resilience and performe other services such as peak load management.

The project hinges on the receipt of relevant construction permits, which are expected to be obtained soon. Battery deliveries are expected to start in the second half of 2026.

Endurium Enterprise was launched for general sale in September, offering C&I customers on-site energy storage to deliver low-cost, low-carbon electricity on demand. It is available in configurations starting from 4 MWh and incorporates control, power conversion and other features needed for the most demanding microgrid and behind-the-meter applications.

“The efforts during 2025 by Invinity to reduce the product cost of Endurium are now starting to be rewarded. This sale, which is not reliant on subsidy or grant funding but is justified on a purely commercial basis, is an incredibly exciting milestone and provides an excellent reference case for other businesses looking to reduce their energy supply costs by deploying our vanadium flow batteries,” Invinity’s CEO Jonathan Marren said.
