Huaxi Fluid Completes Delivery of High-Temperature & High-Pressure Valves for Gansu Jiuquan 300MW Artificial Cavern Compressed Air Energy Storage Project

Recently, Chengdu Huaxi Fluid Control Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Huaxi Fluid) successfully completed the delivery of high-temperature and high-pressure storage regulating valves and compressed air pipeline bypass valves for the EPC turnkey project of the Gansu Jiuquan Yumen 300MW Compressed Air Energy Storage Power Station Demonstration Project.

The Gansu Jiuquan Yumen 300MW Compressed Air Energy Storage Power Station Demonstration Project, constructed by China Power Engineering Consulting Group Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. under an EPC contract, is the world’s first 300MW-class artificial cavern compressed air energy storage facility. It has been selected for the National Energy Administration’s “New Energy Storage Pilot Demonstration Project” list.

In this collaboration, Huaxi Fluid prioritized the design institute’s requirements, ensuring meticulous execution at every stage from order confirmation to product shipment. To guarantee safe and timely delivery, the team overcame significant technical challenges during production. For instance, the DN800 pneumatic regulating valve for the return water pipeline required multiple technical discussions and careful design adjustments due to its large caliber and complex casting process before finalizing the solution. This successful delivery not only validates Huaxi Fluid’s technical capabilities in large-scale energy storage projects but also marks the maturity of its solutions in the new energy storage sector.

As critical “valves in the circulatory system” of energy infrastructure, the performance of high-temperature and high-pressure fluid control equipment directly impacts project safety and efficiency.
