All Foundation Work for Mirror Field Completed! Tibet Antuo 100MW Solar Thermal Project Advances Winter Construction as Scheduled

At the construction site of the Tibet Antuo Soil-Shuo 100MW solar thermal + 800MW photovoltaic integrated project, located at an altitude of over 4,600 meters, the scene is bustling with construction activity.

The project is situated approximately 17.5 kilometers east of Pana Town in Antuo County, with a total investment of 4.87 billion yuan, of which 2.01 billion yuan is allocated to the solar thermal component. The mirror field of the solar thermal project covers a total light-collecting area of about 800,000 square meters, with a heat storage capacity of up to 8 hours. It employs an advanced model combining solar thermal and photovoltaic technologies, featuring a solar thermal power generation capacity of 100MW. Utilizing advanced molten salt tower technology, the project is designed to achieve an annual equivalent utilization hours of 2,551 hours. According to design predictions, the project is expected to generate an average annual electricity output of 255.08 million kWh over 25 years.

Currently, concrete pouring for the absorber tower’s transition platform and the cylindrical wall below 185 meters has been completed. The main workshop’s main structure installation is finished, with 80% of the purlin construction completed. Foundation work for the high- and low-temperature molten salt tanks is also done, and the base plate splicing is finished, ready for lifting. Equipment foundations and ancillary facilities are complete, all foundation work for the mirror field has been finalized, and the installation of heliostats and power collection lines is 70% complete.
