Dushanzi Petrochemical Launches Pilot Project for Solar Energy Storage Using Molten Salt

DUSHANZI, China – Dushanzi Petrochemical Company held a signing ceremony on February 9 to officially launch a pilot photovoltaic molten salt energy storage project at its thermal power plant. The event signifies that initial preparations are complete and full construction is now underway.

Once operational, the facility is expected to use renewable electricity annually to produce zero-carbon steam, displacing traditional coal-fired generation. The project will cut carbon dioxide emissions by more than 110,000 metric tons each year.
