Cosin Solar Technology Co., Ltd. (Cosin Solar) announced that it has received a notification of award from Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research & Design Institute Co., Ltd. The company will undertake a technology project focused on constructing a test platform and conducting key performance experimental research for an integrated wind, photovoltaic, thermal, nuclear and energy storage system at the Haiyang nuclear power facility.

The project involves the development of a sophisticated test platform designed to simulate multiple energy input scenarios, including nuclear and wind-solar power sources. The primary objective is to investigate the dynamic compatibility between the molten salt heat storage system and various energy forms. Data accumulated through these experiments will provide critical technical support for future large-scale engineering applications. The project scope includes the integration of an electric molten salt heating system, the molten salt heat storage system itself, along with supporting systems such as a molten salt steam generation system, steam heat exchange system, feedwater deaeration system, electrical system, thermal control system, and other auxiliary components.
Cosin Solar is responsible for constructing a complete molten salt heat storage test system. Its services encompass the full project lifecycle, including system process design, equipment supply, installation guidance, commissioning guidance for individual components and subsystems, as well as the preparation of test procedures and test reports within the scope of equipment integration. This award marks a significant expansion of Cosin Solar’s comprehensive molten salt energy storage solutions into the multi-energy complementary application sector.
