research from Avnet Silica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The analysis found that 46.7% of the total was raised in the past three years and 84.4% in the past five.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Battery energy storage firms secured \u20ac331.8m, with \u20ac236m going to lithium-based technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Redox flow developers raised \u20ac76.1m, while vanadium flow companies attracted grant and post-IPO support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mechanical storage led with \u20ac696.7m, including \u20ac339m for Highview Power and \u20ac200.5m for Energy Vault.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thermal storage companies raised \u20ac105.9m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Supercapacitor, hydrogen and power-to-x developers secured \u20ac146.5m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EV charging with integrated storage received \u20ac435.5m, while \u20ac259.4m went into the supply chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two startups raised \u20ac19m for battery recycling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhile there are some well-established players leading the way in energy storage, it\u2019s exciting to see startups offering solutions to the multitude of energy storage challenges that exist within different industries,\u201d said Harvey Wilson, senior manager industrial vertical markets EMEA at Avnet Silica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere\u2019s the challenge of EV charging in locations that can\u2019t be easily powered by the grid,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere\u2019s a need for portable energy in temporary locations, such as events and construction sites,\u201d stated Wilson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s also exciting to see startups focusing on the next-generation of materials, components and battery
