The <strong>150 MW CSP project in Seni District developed by Guangdong Hydropower<\/strong> finalized the award of its <strong>EPC+O (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Operation) contract<\/strong>, while the <strong>50 MW CSP project with a 220 kV booster station at Wumatang in Dangxiong, developed by CGN<\/strong>, completed the award of its <strong>partial EPC contract<\/strong>. In addition, the <strong>100 MW CSP project in Dangxiong developed by China Energy Engineering Group (CEEC)<\/strong> finalized the procurement of major power block equipment, including the <strong>steam turbine, generator and steam generator<\/strong>. Meanwhile, the <strong>350 MW CSP demonstration project in Golmud, Qinghai, developed by CGN New Energy<\/strong>, has appointed the contractor responsible for <strong>preliminary engineering design technical services<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the <strong>molten salt thermal energy storage sector<\/strong>, several retrofit and integration projects are progressing simultaneously at <strong>Jinshan Thermal Power Plant under Inner Mongolia Energy Group<\/strong>, where multiple <strong>molten salt\u2013coal power coupling retrofit projects<\/strong> are currently underway. In addition, the <strong>thermal energy storage system for a molten salt\u2013coupled nuclear power project<\/strong> has been awarded. Separately, the <strong>feasibility study for the molten salt\u2013coupled supercritical CO\u2082 \u201cnew-type thermal battery\u201d energy storage project at Huaneng Yantai Bajiao CHP Plant<\/strong> has also been completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to incomplete statistics compiled by CSPPLAZA, <strong>a total of 17 CSP and molten salt thermal energy storage projects<\/strong>, covering <strong>19 major contract packages<\/strong>, completed the tendering and award process in February 2026.
