Under the collaboration, Quino will contribute its organic electrolyte technology for integration into Jena\u2019s flow battery manufacturing, a move that is seen to \u201ctranslate innovative chemistry into application-ready, long-duration energy storage (LDES).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quino and Jena will optimise Jena&#8217;s flow battery hardware to maximise the performance with Quino&#8217;s organic electrolyte, with preparations for a pilot project already being in progress. \u201cFor future projects, Quino brings strong expertise in electrolyte development and we will contribute scalable system design and industrial manufacturing capabilities,\u201d Jena Flow said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>California-based Quino develops water-based organic redox flow batteries using quinone-based electrolytes as a cost-effective alternative to vanadium or lithium-ion systems.
