The project completed the critical solid-to-liquid molten salt conversion process, laying a solid foundation for thermal cycle system heating operation, subsequent integrated system commissioning, and full-unit startup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"572\" src=\"https:\/\/en.esplaza.com.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/f2b83933a1402fbae9b2765fe9b3bcca-1024x572.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1871\" srcset=\"https:\/\/en.esplaza.com.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/f2b83933a1402fbae9b2765fe9b3bcca-1024x572.png 1024w, https:\/\/en.esplaza.com.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/f2b83933a1402fbae9b2765fe9b3bcca-300x167.png 300w, https:\/\/en.esplaza.com.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/f2b83933a1402fbae9b2765fe9b3bcca-768x429.png 768w, https:\/\/en.esplaza.com.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/f2b83933a1402fbae9b2765fe9b3bcca.png 1401w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ali project relies on a 205MW molten salt electric heating system and large-capacity thermal salt tanks to realize efficient \u201csolar-electricity-thermal-storage\u201d energy conversion. During daytime operation, solar energy is used for direct power generation. Surplus electricity is partly stored in electrochemical energy storage systems, while the remaining electricity is used by a 205MW molten salt electric heater to heat low-temperature molten salt into high-temperature liquid molten salt, which is then stored in thermal salt tanks with a diameter of 38.5 meters. During nighttime operation, the high-temperature molten salt drives the steam generation system to produce high-pressure steam, which powers a 50MW steam turbine generator unit for stable electricity supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"952\" height=\"635\" src=\"https:\/\/en.esplaza.com.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/e7ef40f1d2969b0e7d1ae5d4de451d72.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1872\" srcset=\"https:\/\/en.esplaza.com.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/e7ef40f1d2969b0e7d1ae5d4de451d72.png 952w, https:\/\/en.esplaza.com.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/e7ef40f1d2969b0e7d1ae5d4de451d72-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/en.esplaza.com.cn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/e7ef40f1d2969b0e7d1ae5d4de451d72-768x512.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 952px) 100vw, 952px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The demonstration project plans to construct a 50MW solar thermal power generation and heating plant adopting molten salt parabolic trough technology. The project is designed with 480 solar collector assemblies, divided into 160 collector loops, with a total solar field aperture area of 825,600 m\u00b2, 16 hours of thermal energy storage capacity, and an installed capacity of 50MW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Phase I includes the construction and commissioning of 108 collector loops, with a solar field aperture area of 557,280 m\u00b2.
