{"id":800,"date":"2025-11-17T07:47:07","date_gmt":"2025-11-17T07:47:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.esplaza.com.cn\/?p=800"},"modified":"2025-11-17T07:47:07","modified_gmt":"2025-11-17T07:47:07","slug":"1-million-raise-charges-up-avess-vanadium-flow-battery-deployment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.esplaza.com.cn\/index.php\/2025\/11\/17\/1-million-raise-charges-up-avess-vanadium-flow-battery-deployment\/","title":{"rendered":"$1 million raise charges up AVESS vanadium flow battery deployment"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perth-headquartered energy storage technology company Avess Energy has completed a $1 million (USD 650,000) capital raise, via a Series B Convertible Notes (CN) issue, putting into process a number of key developments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The raise will enable the completion of battery optimisation works, the commencement of the carbon innovation grants program (CIGP), and vanadium flow battery (VFB) deployment of its 50 kW \/ 250 kWh VFB prototype at the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pv-magazine-australia.com\/2024\/08\/07\/perth-flow-battery-maker-signs-deal-to-build-vanadium-plant-in-south-korea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Windimurra Vanadium Project<\/a>&nbsp;in Western Australia (WA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 12 August 2024, Avess announced the signing of a binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Perth-headquartered vanadium developer Atlantic Vanadium to demonstrate the prototype.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\" id=\"attachment_115071\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pv-magazine-australia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2025\/11\/Screenshot-2025-11-14-103444-600x317.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-115071\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">AVESS has also received $2.5 million in federal funding to explore VFB manufacturing opportunities in the Indo-Pacific region<em>Image: AVESS Energy<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The raise builds on the momentum of the company\u2019s recent&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pv-magazine-australia.com\/press-releases\/avess-energy-wins-2-5m-grant-to-catalyse-vfb-manufacturing-in-the-indo-pacific\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$2.5 million grant<\/a>, awarded by the federal government under the Quad Clean Energy Supply Chain and Diversification Program (QCESCDP), to explore VFB manufacturing opportunities in the Indo-Pacific region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Avess&nbsp;Managing Director Young Yu said the raise caps off an intense period of capacity building for Avess, having secured $3 million in federal and state government co-funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are grateful to have the confidence of our new and existing investors, as we position Avess to capture growth opportunities locally and in the Indo-Pacific,\u201d Yu said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe raising enables us to finish battery optimisation work, progress with the CIGP and deploy our 50 kW \/ 250 kWh VFB at Windimurra.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The raise was supported by Avess directors along with new and existing investors.
