On May 10, the GIS equipment and 220 kV busbar integration works for the “Research and Demonstration Project on Flexibility Retrofit of Thermal Power Units Based on Molten Salt Thermal Energy Storage” of Shandong Luxi Power Generation Co., Ltd. were successfully completed, with the withstand voltage test passed on the first attempt.
The project is being EPC-contracted by East China Electric Power Design Institute under China Energy Engineering Corporation.
The successful completion of the test enabled the project to achieve grid connection, laying a solid foundation for subsequent system commissioning and the project’s scheduled commercial operation.
