Cousin Solar Technology Co., Ltd. (“Cousin Solar”) has achieved a major breakthrough with its self-developed intelligent operation solution for concentrated solar power (CSP) plants. The solution has been successfully deployed at the 100MW CSP facility within the Jinta Zhongguang Solar “CSP + PV” pilot project.
In March 2026, despite facing highly challenging weather conditions—including cloudy, rainy, windy, and dust-laden days—the plant delivered outstanding performance, achieving a solar field energy collection rate of 114.56% and a power generation target achievement rate of 109.47%. These real-world results effectively address operational bottlenecks under complex conditions and set a new benchmark for the intelligent upgrade of the CSP industry.
The Jinta Zhongguang 100MW CSP plant was successfully grid-connected on May 28, 2025, completed full-process integration on July 10, and reached full-load operation by July 21, with daily power generation exceeding 1 million kWh. To further unlock capacity and enhance operational stability, the plant rapidly deployed an intelligent operation solution for its solar field. Supported by this system, the plant quickly ramped up performance, achieving monthly power generation of 14.7473 million kWh in August and 15.1691 million kWh in September 2025 (with DNI totals of 179.89 kWh/m² and 166.53 kWh/m², respectively). The full-plant intelligent operation solution was completed in December 2025.
Notably, March 2026 presented a “real-world stress test” for Cousin Solar’s intelligent solution, with frequent cloudy, rainy, windy, and dusty conditions. The monthly DNI totaled only 118.34 kWh/m², with 23 cloudy days, 5 overcast days, and just 3 clear days. Despite these highly unfavorable conditions, the plant delivered exceptional results under the intelligent operation system, generating 10.6084 million kWh during the month. The solar field energy collection rate reached 114.56%, and the power generation target achievement rate reached 109.47%.
